The Department is responsible for the financial transactions of the authority, which include fund sourcing (receipts of subventions/grants from the government and internal revenue collection), and payment of salaries and general expenditure. Others are preparation of draft accounts for external auditing and record purposes, stores control (procurement and issuance of materials) and keeping of records of Authority’s assets. It also liaises with the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Budget and planning on financial and budget matters.
